Adobe dng converter lens correction8/10/2023 ![]() ![]() The preferred work-flow would be to use Adobe DNG Converter to convert your. However, you can always copy Adobe lens profiles from newer versions of the DNG Converter into the user profile area of Lightroom, and they will be seen by Lightroom as if they were profiles you created or downloaded from a third-party. The DNG is much smaller than the TIFF, and the Lightroom lens correction. DNG converter’s profiles are stored in Camera Raw/Photoshop location while Lightroom has its own location, thus updating DNG converter does not automatically apply new profiles to Lightroom. Luckily, Adobe gives away new lens and camera profiles for free via the DNG converter. The DNG conversion doesn't change anything in the image data, it's just a different wrapper. I also routinely convert the raw files to DNG, and the built-in lens profiles are still applied.
